The Readius Aloud app does not collect any data. This website has a contact form, which is covered separately below.
Every PDF, EPUB, text, or Markdown file you import is processed entirely on your iPhone. Text extraction, speech synthesis, and playback all happen on device. Your documents, and anything you listen to, are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with the developer or with anyone else.
When you import a document, the app stores it in its own local library so it can read it back and let you resume later. That copy stays on your iPhone. Deleting Readius Aloud removes everything it has stored.
The app's speech engine and voices are downloaded once, over the network you choose, from the developer's own hosting. This download contains only the speech model and voice data — it does not send any of your documents, text, or listening activity, and nothing about your device or usage is collected as part of it.
Readius Aloud contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It does not ask for an account and there is nothing to sign in to.
The support page links to the same feedback form used inside the app, a Google Form. If you use it, whatever you type is sent to and stored by Google, under Google's privacy policy, and forwarded to the developer. Messages are used only to answer your question or act on your feedback. They are not sold, shared, or used for marketing.
None of this applies to the app itself. Nothing you do inside Readius Aloud is sent anywhere, and the app has no connection to this website.
Because the app collects no data at all, it collects none from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
Questions about privacy: use the form on the support page.
